The Car Chase was “Near Catastrophic” Harry and Meghan

Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, and Doria Ragland involved in violent.

According to Reuters, the chase started as the group left the Ms. Foundation Women of Vision Awards, where Meghan recognized, in an SUV.

Harry’s spokeswoman said that the “relentless pursuit” that lasted more than two hours “resulted in numerous near collisions” with other motorists, pedestrians, and two NYPD officers.

The NYPD said that there were “no reported collisions, summonses, injuries, or arrests,” but added that there were “many photographers that made their transport challenging.”

A spokesman for Harry also encouraged people not to share any pictures from the chase because doing so “encourages a highly intrusive behaviour that is unsafe to all involved”.

Security detail member Chris Sanchez offered his thoughts on the situation:

“This is something I have never seen or experienced before. We were dealing with a pretty hectic situation.
About a dozen automobiles, scooters, and bicycles were there. The safety of individuals who happened to be around was likewise Sanchez’s concern, he continued, in addition to the Sussexes.
“The public were in jeopardy at several points,” he claimed. It might have resulted in death.
Paparazzi were running red lights and crossing curbs. They temporarily stopped the limo carrying Harry and Meghan and began shooting pictures until we could go.

Given that his mom, Princess Diana, had killed in a paparazzi car chase, Harry has outspoken about the risks of press encroachment.

“Being part of this family, in this role, in this job, every single time I see a camera, every single time I hear a sound, every  moment I see a flash, it hits me straight back,” he stated in the 2019 documentary “Harry & Meghan: An African Journey.”
