Naila Kiani conquers Broad Peak, the 12th-highest, a remarkable feat.
Naila Kiani is the first woman from Pakistan to reach the summit of 8 peaks higher than 8000 meters. She made history by becoming the first woman from Pakistan to summit Broad Peak (8,051 m).
The news was made by the Bard Foundation, a nonprofit organization created to assist gifted people reach their potential as champions. They referred to her as a “pioneer of courage and determination.”

Naila Kiani, a Pakistani mountaineer, had previously conquered Nanga Parbat. Naila Kiani, a Pakistani climber, successfully ascended Mount Everest in May of this year at a height of 8,849 meters.
She did so to become the second woman from Pakistan to accomplish this. Samina Baig accomplished it earlier, in 2013.
Naila expressed her feelings on this significant accomplishment by saying, “There is no better feeling than being on top of the mountain, holding the flag of your country, and making the whole nation proud.”
The young climber expressed her extreme happiness at crossing off another long-awaited goal that had been on her bucket list for a very long time.
Naila recently conquered K2 on her first attempt and scaled Pakistan’s Gasherbrums I and II. She also became the first woman from Pakistan to climb Nepal’s Annapurna peak, the tenth-highest mountain in the world at 8,091 meters.
