A young man & woman killed in a suspected honor killing as per police.
Father and his son are accused of honor killed the girl and her male friend, accusing them of having a “illicit relationship.”
The woman father, Dr Rafiq, has also confessed to the crime, killing his daughter Laraib and her companion Hassan for “honour,” according to the authorities.
Hassan, a Gulshan-e-Iqbal resident, arrived to take Laraib home. While the two were speaking in a 4×4, the woman father attacked them and fired shots at them, killing them instantly.
Laraib’s father was accompanied by his son, Abdullah. The incident occurred around 7:30am today in Bakkhar Goth, an area of Abul Isphani Road near Sachal Police Station.
The father-son duo had already fled the crime site but were apprehended by police, according to Superintendent of Police (SP) Sohrab Goth Sohail Faiz.
Both deceased’s bodies have been transferred to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
