BTS Jungkook “Seven” ft. Latto wins Song of the Summer at MTV VMAs.
The 26-year-old singer Jungkook made history by being the first male K-pop soloist to accomplish this accomplishment twice in a row.
He is also the first and only K-pop performer to receive recognition in a non-Kpop field.
He previously won the prize in the same category for his work on the Charlie Puth song “Left and Right” with him.
The BTS member received well messages from fans on social media, many of whom referred to him as the “king of Kpop.”
Seven, Jungkook debut solo single, was released in July. The lively song’s music video on YouTube has received over 200 million views since it was released.
It ranks second among the most popular weekly songs in the globe and is also one of the top 10 most watched music videos.
