Pakistan secured 1-0 victory against Cambodia in the FIFA Qualifiers.
The squad is participating in its first home World Cup Qualifiers match since 2011. In the 67th minute of the game, Harun Hamid gave Pakistan the lead. Goalless in Cambodia, the first leg of the two teams’ tie concluded.
It should be remembered that on October 12 and 17, there will be one home and one away match for the first round of matches. The top 10 victors will move on to the second round.
These ten countries will then play with the other twenty-six teams, which FIFA Rankings have already placed in the second round.
There will be nine groups of four countries in this round, and the winners and runners-up advance to the third round.
A subsequent draw will split all eighteen advancing countries into three groups of six, with the top two countries in each group earning a spot in the FIFA World Cup.
