The government of Saudi Arabia has recently bans baby prams in Mosque.
According to the government of Saudi Arabia, children’s prams are now bans in the Mataf or Tawaf area of the Kaaba.
Strollers are no longer permitted on the ground level of Mataf, according to the new policy that was released by the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque.
Prams are still allowed in certain spots, though, including the Grand Mosque in Makkah and certain sections on the higher floors of Mataf.
Strollers are also permitted through the King Fahd Expansion Area to Mas’a, the running area between Safa and Marwa, with the exception of times when it is extremely crowded on the Mataf and Mas’a levels.
Given how congested the area is, particularly during the months of Ramadan and Hajj, this choice is a preventative one.
With agreements reached with nations like Pakistan, the administration is getting ready for the forthcoming Hajj and hopes to receive almost 2 million pilgrims in June.
In order to make it easier for worshippers to enter, authorities are also thinking about creating designated zones inside Masjid al-Haram.
The Saudi Postal and Logistics Company and the General Authority for Care of the Two Holy Mosques inked a contract for the latter to research this area, aiding in pilgrim guidance, performance evaluation, and effective resource distribution.
Following the relaxation of social distancing measures put in place during the pandemic, the monarchy welcomed 2 million travelers for the Hajj and nearly 13 million pilgrims for the Umrah last year.
