Pankaj Udhas, mesmerizing Indian singer, passed away at the age of 72.
Singer Pankaj Udhas, who described the heartbreak of those living in Radis through his most popular song ‘Chathi Ai Hai’, passed away today on February 26, 2024 at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai, India.
Pankaj Udhas was born on 17 May 1951 in Gujarat. He started his career in 1980 by releasing a ghazal album named ‘Ahat’. Soon he became a big name in Ghazal music in India.
According to Indian media reports, Pankaj Udhas was ill for a long time and his death was confirmed by his daughter Nayab Udhas through a post on her Instagram account.
She wrote that ‘It is with a very heavy heart that I share this sad news that Pankaj Adhaas has passed away on 26th February 2024 after a long illness’.
Pankaj Udhas blessed the music world with songs that will always hold a special place in the hearts of music lovers.
Some of his famous songs include ‘Chandi Jesa Rang’, ‘Wah Bin Sunwar Kar Chale Hain Ghar Se’, ‘Rishta Tera Meera’ and ‘Aahsta’.
