The Government will Reduce the Price of Paracetamol for Citizens.

 

PM Shehbaz Sharif announces subsidies to make paracetamol affordable.

Paracetamol has been in excessive demand, significantly as a result of flooding, rising cases of dengue fever, and different water-borne diseases. It’s an antipyretic drug that’s continuously used for fever and pain.

The premier chaired a zoom assembly from New York, US, with involved authorities within the country to evaluate the pace of varied flood relief and rehabilitation activities within the flood-hit areas throughout Pakistan.

Whereas expressing his views, PM Shehbaz apprised that he held conferences with the president of the World Financial institution (WB) and the managing director of the International Financial Fund (IMF) and comprehensively mentioned the flooded state of affairs in Pakistan.

They “expressed their sympathies over the casualties and pledged to provide Pakistan all the help and support they could muster,” the minister continued.

The prime minister remarked, “I warned that millions of frail children were being denied essential meal items and will fall in poor condition with ailments like diarrhea.

Due to the severe damage brought on by the floods, he continued, “the people of Pakistan couldn’t handle the situation alone with their inadequate resources.”

Shehbaz urged the world community, international organizations, such as the WB and IMF, and different pleasant countries to help and provide the flood victims with much-needed relief.

The meeting was attended by Finance Minister Miftah Ismail, Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, Advisor to Prime Minister Ahad Cheema, and different senior officers.

PM Shehbaz is in New York to attend the high-level general debate of the 77th Session of the UN General Meeting (UNGA).

He will speak before the UNGA today to draw attention to the suffering of the nation’s flood victims.
