Apple Interested to Buying Manchester United

Apple has surfaced as a prospective future owner of Manchester United.

The Glazer family placed the Old Trafford club up for sale earlier this week following 17 turbulent years in charge. Fans have frequently demonstrated against the club’s long-term owners, who have presided over a period of substantial deterioration both on and off the field.

The Glazers are claimed to be willing to sell United for the most money ever paid for a sports club and to want at least £5.8 billion.

That would be well within the means of computer giants Apple, whose estimated net worth of $2 trillion has led them to contemplate acquiring one of the most recognizable sporting names in the world.

According to reports, CEO Tim Cook is knowledgeable about the business prospects that United would provide the California-based company.

Should Apple decide to pursue the deal

They may work with David Beckham, a club great who is allegedly open to forming partnerships with prospective buyers.

Beckham, on the other hand, presently shares ownership of Inter Miami and has a more active role in operating the Major League Soccer team.

The Financial Times reports that Beckham is now willing to speak with prospective United purchasers, who may include the former player as a member of a consortium.

Although the Glazer family has never said they wish to sell United before, a source close to Beckham told the FT that the former England captain had previously been contacted by prospective buyers.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe, a British billionaire who reportedly had indicated he is prepared to make an offer after conducting a feasibility assessment earlier this year, is one of the other candidates.

Ratcliffe, a lifelong United supporter, has owned the French club Nice since 2019 but has never concealed his love for the team.
