Babar Azam has now become the highest run-scoring captain in T20 Internationals. The milestone was achieved during his 37-run innings against the Black Caps on Sunday.
Babar Azam became the highest run-scoring captain in T20 Internationals. Australia’s Aaron Finch scored 2362 runs in 76 innings as a captain but Babar surpassed him.
By hitting the 28th run in his innings in the match against New Zealand at Rawalpindi, the captain of Pakistan reached this historic milestone. In the third game versus Kiwi, it was captain Babar Azam’s 67th inning.
In T20 Internationals, he also became the first Asian cricket player to score 400 boundaries. Paul Stirling of Ireland scored 407 fours in T20 Internationals earlier.

Earlier in the second T20 International match between Pakistan and New Zealand in Rawalpindi, wicketkeeper-battler Mohammad Rizwan accomplished a noteworthy milestone.
In his 79th T20I inning, Rizwan broke the record shared by Babar Azam and Virat Kohli to become the fastest batsman to score 3000 runs in T20I games. In 81 innings, Babar and Kohli both accomplished the feat.
In addition, Mohammad Rizwan surpasses Babar as the second Pakistani player to reach 3,000 runs in T20I cricket.
