A day after the abduction, the AVCC said the kidnappers demanded a ransom of Rs 2.5 lakh from the victim’s wife. The police officials further said that the abductors threatened the victim’s family that if their demands were not met, they would kill the child.

After the ransom was paid and the victim returned, the case was transferred to AVCC. Later, the department arrested the accused Sub-Inspector Saeed and recovered the ransom money.

While hostage Mohsin Amin was released safely from the police officer’s custody, the accused officer was sent to District Central. Further, a case has been registered against the accused in custody.
