Peshawar Zalmi, batting first, amassed 185 runs in the twenty overs given, losing five wickets. In response, Islamabad United took 19 overs to reach the mark.

Early in the chase, Zalmi’s spinners showed their strength by taking significant wickets. In consecutive overs, Saim Ayub removed Alex Hales (1) and Salman Ali Agha (5).

United’s problems were exacerbated by the rising left-arm spinner, who removed captain Shadab Khan without allowing a run to be scored. Martin Guptill had an aggressive innings of 34 runs, including 22 against Saim Ayub, but United was struggling at 50/4 after he was removed in the last over of the powerplay.

United, in desperate need of stability, saw hope in Imad Wasim. He effectively anchored the innings, first forming a combination with Azam Khan and then with Haider Ali.

How to Study for an Exam with Lots of Information?

0

Let’s see how to study for an upcoming exam with lots of information.

Study for an exam can be intimidating, particularly when there is a ton of information to learn. Learning how to study well is essential for success, regardless of whether you’re getting ready for a certification exam or a comprehensive final exam.

Arrange Your Study Resources

Getting your resources in order is crucial before you start studying. To begin, divide the material into digestible sections.

Read More Informative Articles In Urdu

Sort subjects and subtopics into an outline or study guide. To effectively arrange and go over material, make use of tools like mind maps, digital note-taking applications, and flashcards.

Sort Important Ideas in Order of Priority

Information is not all created equal. Determine the main ideas, hypotheses, and equations that will probably be put to the test.

Concentrate on fully grasping these fundamental ideas. Sort the items into priority lists according to the exam’s weight and relevance.

Give high-priority subjects more time to be studied, but don’t skip over other important subjects.

Employ Active Learning Strategies

Rereading notes or textbooks is an example of passive studying, which frequently fails to help students retain a significant amount of material. Rather, use active learning strategies that promote greater understanding and memory. Try out techniques like:

  • Practice Exams: Use past exam questions or practice exams to test your knowledge and pinpoint areas that still require work.
  • Teaching Others: Educate friends, family, and study groups on difficult ideas. Educating others reveals your areas of weakness and strengthens your own understanding.
  • Explaining Ideas Aloud: Speaking about information enhances retention and understanding. Try learning things out loud to yourself or summarizing them.

Divide It Into Study Session

It is ineffective and exhausting to try to learn everything at once. Divide up your study periods into more focused, shorter bursts. For instance, the Pomodoro Technique calls for studying for 25 minutes, then taking a little break.

This method covers a substantial amount of content across several sessions while assisting in maintaining focus and preventing burnout.

Make Use of Mnemonics and Visual Aids

Diagrams, charts, and graphs are examples of visual aids that can help to clarify difficult material and improve memory recall.

To improve comprehension and memory, provide ideas visual representations. Furthermore, mnemonics—memory tricks like acronyms or rhymes—can improve your ability to recall complex data or sequences.

Create a Space Free of Distractions

Reduce outside distractions when studying to increase concentration and productivity. Find a place that is peaceful, well-lit, and unoccupied.

Switch off your phone’s or computer’s notifications, and think about utilizing internet blockers to avoid visiting distracting websites or social media accounts.

Review Frequently and Wisely

Information retention over the long term requires regular assessment. Plan frequent review sessions to help you remember what you’ve learned and avoid forgetting.

To maximize memory retention, apply spaced repetition techniques, which entail going over the content at progressively longer intervals over time.

Take Good Care of Yourself

Finally, remember to take care of your physical and mental health while studying. Make sure you get enough rest, eat a balanced diet, and work out on a regular basis.

To properly manage exam anxiety, practice stress-relieving strategies like deep breathing, meditation, or mindfulness.

Avoid Putting Things Off

Procrastination earlier in the study session is the main cause of the phenomenon of people cramming. People procrastinate, regardless of age, gender, race, or IQ; some people do it more than others.

Building on the previous tip, you can maximize the effectiveness of your study sessions by avoiding procrastination by maintaining organization, creating clear study schedules, and allowing yourself adequate rest and recuperation time.

Making a list of everything you want to get done in a single sitting (reading a book chapter, revising lecture notes, etc.) can help you stay focused and will also help you get rid of the impulse to put things off.

Put Yourself to the Test

Strong encoding can be achieved by actively participating in the design of revising materials, as there is a wealth of research to support this claim.

Creating your own exam questions and testing yourself on them gradually improves the encoding of the information to be learned and requires active engagement with the subject matter. It is helpful even to read a material with the intention of formulating questions based on what you have read.

Health Benefits of Ramadan Fasting

0

Fasting in the Ramadan offers both spiritual and practical benefits.

Fasting during Ramadan offers several Benefits beyond spiritual benefits, such as improved physical, mental, and emotional health and wellbeing. Understanding the significance, benefits, and meaning of fasting during the holy month of Ramadan is crucial for Muslims.

What Is the Significance of Fasting?

Throughout the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, which is the holy month of Ramadan, Muslims all over the world observe fasting as a religious duty.

Muslims refrain from eating, drinking, and giving in to any inner impulses from sunrise to dusk during this month. Iftar, a meal, is served at dusk to break the fast.

Muslims eat another meal known as Sehri before dawn in order to sustain themselves throughout the day. Depending on when the new moon is visible, the fasting period is either 29 or 30 days long.

One of the five pillars of Islam is fasting, which is seen as a means of devotion, discipline, and a chance to concentrate on spirituality, almsgiving, and good actions.

Quranic Verses Regarding the Significance of Ramadan Fasting:

The following verses from the Quran emphasize the significance and benefits of keeping a fast during Ramadan:

“O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting, as it was decreed upon those before you, that you may become righteous.” [Quran 2:183]

Muslims can develop self-control, self-discipline, and a stronger sense of spirituality in their lives by refraining from eating, drinking, and other necessities of life.

“Ramadan is the month in which was revealed the Quran; a guidance for mankind, clear proofs of the guidance, and the criterion (of right and wrong).” [Quran 2:185]

It highlights how crucial it is to study, comprehend, and consider the Quran’s teachings during the month of Ramadan.

“And it is better for you that ye fast, if ye only knew.” [Quran 2:184]

Muslims are encouraged by this passage to fast throughout Ramadan because it is said to improve their mental, spiritual, and physical health.

Numerous Benefits of Ramadan Fasting:

Fasting has numerous advantages, including psychological, social, spiritual, and physical ones. The following are a few advantages of fasting:

Spiritual self-purification and self-control

Muslims use fasting to purify their bodies, minds, and souls through self-restraint, self-restraint, and meditation.

Muslims can develop their self-awareness, humility, compassion and connection with Allah by fasting during the day from food, drink and other necessities.

Thankfulness and Sympathy:

One advantage of fasting during Ramadan is that it provides a chance to give thanks for the things we frequently take for granted, such food, water, and physical health.

It also promotes empathy for people who are less fortunate and might not have access to wholesome food, high-quality healthcare, and these basic essentials of existence.

During Ramadan, Muslims are urged to give alms, pay zakat, and carry out charitable activities that lessen the suffering of the underprivileged.

Transparent Hands arranges medical camps and offers free medical and surgical care to Pakistan’s underprivileged citizens.

Physical well-being and Health:

The benefits of fasting during Ramadan include better control over blood sugar levels, weight management, and a regulated metabolism, among other advantages for both physical and mental health. The body receives a break from continuous digesting when the fast is kept during the day, which can enhance metabolic process and advance general health and wellbeing.

Health Benefits of Ramadan Fasting and Its Significance

1. Reduced Body Weight and Enhanced Metabolism

The first health advantages of fasting during Ramadan are enhanced metabolism and weight loss.

The body begins to use fat reserves as a source of energy and uses them when it gets used to consuming less food and liquids over the day.

Weight loss and fat burning result from this, and the body’s metabolism may also speed up and become more effective at burning calories.

2. Enhanced Control of Blood Sugar

By reducing insulin resistance and enhancing insulin sensitivity, fasting can assist in regulating blood sugar.

Fasting reduces blood sugar levels by compelling the body to utilize stored glucose for energy.

Moreover, while inflammation contributes to insulin resistance, fasting can aid in decreasing inflammation in the body.

Additionally, given that excess body fat can lead to insulin resistance and elevated blood sugar levels, fasting can facilitate weight loss, which is essential for blood sugar regulation.

3. Enhanced Immunity

Among the many advantages of Ramadan fasting is immune system stimulation.

The body uses ketones, which are made from fat storage, as its main energy source during a fast instead of glucose.

This alteration triggers the body’s autophagic mechanism, which dismantles and reuses impaired cells, including those in the immune system. Autophagy enables the substitution of damaged or aging immune cells with rejuvenated ones, thereby improving immune system function.

4. Improved quality Sleep

There are multiple methods through which fasting might assist in enhancing sleep quality. For instance, research has shown that fasting reduces cortisol levels, a stress hormone that can interfere with sleep.

Another advantage of fasting during Ramadan is that it has been connected to a rise in the hormone melatonin, which promotes sleep.

Additionally, it might aid in the regulation of circadian rhythms, which are the natural 24-hour cycles that control a number of bodily physiological functions, including sleep.

Fasting has the capacity to improve the amount and quality of sleep by reinstating the body’s innate rhythms to synchronize with the sleep-wake cycle.

5. Minimizes blood pressure

Research has shown that fasting reduces blood pressure by decreasing inflammation, which in turn elevates blood pressure, and the body’s sodium levels.

Additionally, it encourages weight loss, which can help decrease blood pressure even more.

Furthermore, it has been discovered that fasting enhances insulin sensitivity, which is linked to a reduction in blood pressure.

6. Regulates “bad” cholesterol

Among the many important advantages of fasting during Ramadan is its ability to control low-density lipoprotein (LDL), or bad cholesterol.

It accomplishes this by lowering blood triglyceride levels, a kind of fat that can exacerbate high cholesterol.

The body begins to burn fat that has been stored as fuel when it is fasting, which can lower blood triglyceride and low-density lipoprotein (LDL) levels.

7. A Month-Long Detox

By enabling the liver to more effectively process and get rid of toxins that have accumulated in the body, fasting during Ramadan can aid in the detoxification of the body.

When someone fasts, their body converts to burning fat that has been stored as fuel, which permits the release of toxins from the fat.

Fasting can also lower inflammation and boost the synthesis of specific hormones, both of which help the body’s detoxification processes.
