CM Punjab Approves Foreign Languages Courses at TEVTA Institutes

Maryam Nawaz is about to start Courses in foreign languages in Punjab.

Punjab is set to introduce Courses in foreign languages Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz stressed the need for creative technical training programs to promote economic growth and lower unemployment while presiding over a meeting on Sunday to finalize the Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) Mapping Plan.

Building, textiles, clothing, tourism, hospitality, ICT, car assembly and repair, food processing, biomedical technology, light engineering, renewable energy, and surgical tools are just a few topics the CM emphasized should be covered in the new courses.

She instructed the authorities to form alliances with top businesses to facilitate internships, apprenticeships, and job placements.

She also directed them to offer foreign language classes in TEVTA institutions, including Arabic, German, Chinese, Korean, and Japanese.

The CM approved a plan to create the Punjab Overseas Employment Promotion Authority to promote skilled jobs in foreign markets. Additionally, the CM oversaw the “Heavy Machinery Driving/Operator Course” being outsourced in association with major construction developers.

In addition to cutting-edge welding and construction course labs in Gujranwala, Sahiwal, Bahawalpur, Multan, Attock, Taxila, Layyah, and Mianwali, she sanctioned the construction of 45 welding workshops spread over 9 towns.

To alleviate TEVTA’s human resource shortfall, Maryam Nawaz also committed to hiring 1,000 people and issued a directive raising the monthly budget for training materials to Rs 2,000 per student.

She also gave the appropriate authorities instructions to publish guidelines to guarantee teachers’ biometric attendance.
