Elon Musk Confessed to Using Drugs: ‘It Helps me Lead Tesla’

Elon Musk confessed to use of psychedelic drugs to treat depression.

Billionaire Elon Musk discussed how using psychedelic drugs, such as ketamine, to cure depression has aided him in leading the business.

The Tesla CEO made the remark during an interview with journalist Don Lemon, according to a CNN report. “There are times when I have sort of a negative chemical state in my brain, like depression I guess, or depression that’s not linked to any negative news, and ketamine is helpful for getting one out of the negative frame of mind,” he stated to Lemon.

Musk went on to explain that he had a prescription for the drug from “an actual, real doctor” and takes it “a small amount once every other week or something like that”. “Ketamine overuse makes it difficult to accomplish tasks, and I have a lot of stuff to complete. I don’t really have a circumstance where I can stay psychologically numb for a long time because I work 16-hour days most of the time,” he stated.

When the CEO of Tesla indicated that he is “almost always” sober while posting late at night, he did not specify if he was talking to ketamine or another drug. He also stated that he does not drink and does not “know how to smoke pot.”

The billionaire added that he doesn’t believe using drugs will affect his ability to get government contracts or maintain relationships with investors.

“From Wall Street’s perspective, execution is crucial. Are you creating value for financial backers? In addition to saying he thought his depression was inherited, he stated, “From an investor’s perspective, if there is something I’m taking, I should keep taking it. Tesla is worth roughly as much as the rest of the car industry combined.”

People who have witnessed and others who are aware of the world’s second richest person’s drug use assert that he has used LSD, cocaine, ecstasy, and psychedelic mushrooms, often at private parties around the globe where attendees must sign nondisclosure agreements or give up their phones in order to attend, according to a January Wall Street Journal report.

The report stated that Linda Johnson Rice, a previous director at Tesla, chose not to compete for re-election to the board of the electric vehicle maker in 2019 after growing increasingly upset with the billionaire’s unpredictable behavior and his drug use. But according to Mr. Musk’s lawyer, Alex Spiro, he “regularly and randomly undergoes drug testing at SpaceX and has never failed a test.”
