Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf PTI Former Lawmaker Murdered in Rawalpindi.
Former PTI Lawmaker Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Adnan was Murdered in Rawalpindi. Adnan’s car was fired upon in front of police line office in Cantt.
The police said that unidentified motorcycle-riding suspects opened fire when Chaudry Adnan’s car was stopped at a traffic signal.
The bullet that hit Chaudry Adnan’s face in the firing proved to be fatal, while his driver Zahid Hafeez was also injured in the incident.
The body of the victim was shifted to DHQ Hospital for post-mortem while the injured driver was also shifted to the hospital where he also succumbed to his injuries.
Spokes person Rawalpindi Police said in a statement that CPO Syed Khalid Hamdani has taken notice of the firing incident in the Civil Lines area and has ordered SP Pothohar to ensure the immediate arrest of the accused involved in the incident.
He said that on the information of the incident, senior police officers reached the spot and evidence is being collected from the spot, while teams have been formed to arrest the accused.

He said that according to the initial investigation, the incident seems to be a sign of personal enmity, but it is being investigated from all angles.
It should be noted that in 2018, Chaudhry Adnan was elected Member of Provincial Assembly from Rawalpindi from PP-11 constituency of Punjab Assembly on PTI ticket.
However, due to separation from the party after the events of May 9, he contested as an independent in the recent election.
