Garbage Bins Were also Stolen from Islamabad

Thieve snatch garbage bins, trolleys in recent weeks across Islamabad.

According to the Capital Development Authority (CDA) report, thieves have stolen more than 60 garbage bins in just one month. Sector E-11, G-6, Abpara, Ramna, Shahzad Town and Sabzi Mandi are the places where the theft of dustbins took place. This is creating problems for the local people and the cleaning services of the city.

CDA officials believe that thieves are trading garbage cans and carts for scrap metal. The stolen goods are estimated to be worth lakhs of rupees.

CDA has reported the crimes in various police stations of Islamabad and is working with the police to trace the thefts and trace the culprits.

It should also be noted that there has been a 25% increase in car and motorcycle theft incidents in Lahore during the last eight months compared to the same period last year. According to police data, a total of 23,909 incidents of theft of motorcycles, cars and vehicles took place in the last eight months.
