Unannounced gas load-shedding leads to the explosion in Etihad Town.
Husn Nisa, 30, was in the kitchen preparing dinner. She was unaware that the gas supply had been cut off and that the gas knob on the fireplace had not been turned off. The gas gathered in the house once the supply was restored. When Husn Nisa lighted the match stick, there was a tremendous explosion, and she and her four children, Hasan, 9, Aqsa, 11, Ansa, 8, and Hasnain, 12, were severely burned. The Gas Explosion was so powerful that it caused terror in the surrounding region. Police and rescue personnel raced to the scene and sent the victims to the Civil Hospital‘s Burns Ward.
