Earlier, passing the practical test was mandatory for all students, even those who did well in their theory exams. Those who failed the practical exams had to retake both the theory and practical exams.
According to official sources, this decision for Matriculation and Inter has been made in light of research conducted by Punjabi Education Boards. After the 2023 annual review, the new policy will come into effect.
