“Sindh govt” enforces transgender education, issues teacher licenses
According to details, the draft transgender education policy has entered the final stages. According to Sindh Education Minister Sardar Shah, transgenders should have equal access to educational opportunities.
He went on to say that transgender people will also receive scholarships. Thanks to the new policy, transgender people will have easy access to educational opportunities.
The federal government had earlier said that the Benazir Kafalat program will now include transgenders as well. Benazir Income Support Project (BISP) chairwoman Shazia Murree tweeted that for the first time transgender women have been admitted to the project.
According to him, transgenders are an integral part of our society, and it is the duty of the government to protect them. Murree urged transgender people to apply for ID cards and enroll themselves in the program to get benefits.
