Govt Says Petrol Price Increase Notification is ‘Fake’

Caretaker administration denies fake Rs22 petrol price hike notice.

According to the fake notification, the price of petrol have increase to Rs312.

The decision about petrol pricing, which will be in effect for the following two weeks, will be made later on Thursday, according to a statement from the ministry of finance.

On the advice of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra), the petroleum division of the ministry of finance publishes oil prices every two weeks.

The government will release prices for the following week, commencing September 1, at the end of August.

It was anticipated that the caretaker would raise rates by about Rs15 per liter in light of the weakening of the currency and the rising oil prices on the world market.
