The balloting for government Hajj Scheme has been postponed which was scheduled for Wednesday.
According to the representative of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, the new date of voting for Hajj Scheme will be announced later.
Prior to this, the federal government decided to extend the deadline for submitting applications for the ordinary Hajj program until Sunday and the deadline for the sponsorship program until April 9.
According to a representative for the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the decision to this effect was made in consideration of the challenges faced by Pakistanis living abroad when sending their remittances.
According to him, abroad Pakistanis must wire or TT money to the Ministry of Religious Affairs’ dollar account. The applicant or any of his relatives must stay in contact with the relevant bank for the verification and processing of the transferred funds.
