‘Grand operation’ expected against ‘terrorists’ hiding in Zaman Park

Khan’s Zaman Park home targeted in a Punjab Police “grand operation”.

according to the police, all routes leading to Zaman Park , have been sealed, and there is a substantial presence of law enforcement nearby.

PTI was given a 24-hour deadline by the Punjab government to turn over the “terrorist” who had sought safety in the former prime minister’s house. The government gave the PTI a deadline of 2 p.m., which is already past. The “grand operation” might start after the deadline expires, according to sources.

According to sources, the capital city police officer (CCPO) and the inspector general of Punjab police have instructed the police to remain “vigilant”.

Amir Mir, the interim information minister for Punjab, stated on Wednesday evening that the provincial administration had no current plans to detain PTI Chairman Imran Khan.

After the PTI leader voiced concern about being arrested, the minister made his statement a short time later.

The last tweet I’ll likely send before my next arrest. The PTI leader, who was dismissed as prime minister last year in April, said in a tweet that police had surrounded his home.

Amir Mir further stated that Khan is stirring up trouble “just like always”. The PTI head was “lying,” according to the information minister.

Minister gave the PTI a deadline of 24 hours to turn over the “30-40 terrorists that have taken refuge” at the former prime minister’s Lahore home to the police during his press conference earlier in the day.

The situation:

Minister cautioned, “PTI should hand over these terrorists or the law will take its course.”He continued by saying that the government had reliable intelligence reports and was therefore aware of the existence of these “terrorists”.

PTI head, said to Geo News correspondent Azam Malik, who was in Zaman Park on Wednesday, gave the media access to his home.

The reporter noted that the information minister’s assertion that numerous terrorists were inside the property could not be independently verified. “The reason behind allowing the media to have a look at his residence is to show them the people over there,” the reporter stated.

After the information minister issued a warning that a “operation” would be conducted after 24 hours, he claimed that a number of PTI employees had also arrived at Zaman Park.

Crackdown:

Following violent protests on May 9 in response to the party chief’s detention, during which the army headquarters was also stormed, PTI leaders and employees are being detained one after the other.

Numerous employees and senior executives, including as Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Asad Umar, and Shireen Mazari, have been detained in accordance with the Maintenance of Public Order Act.

The army is committed to making sure that such incidents never happen again, and the crackdown comes after the authorities vowed to prosecute every vandal.

The Pakistan Army Act and the Official Secrets Act will be used to prosecute the vandals responsible for the attacks on defence sites, according to the military and the government.

However, a number of PTI leaders have stated that they are not responsible for the attacks on military targets and that their organisation stands for the armed services.
