Hail Caused Havoc in China, blue alert issued

Hail larger than a tennis ball has destroyed several buildings in China.

Hail larger than a tennis ball fell in southern China, causing severe damage to several buildings, prompting a blue alert across the country.

A video of heavy hail and rain in Guangzhou, China has gone viral on social media. Snowballs the size of tennis balls were seen falling from the sky.

The devastating hailstorm reportedly damaged houses and other buildings.

Nevertheless, the storm also wreaked havoc in the Chinese city of Guangzhou, where it damaged 141 factories and buildings in addition to cars and trees. 33 people were injured and 5 people died in various accidents.

Considering the weather situation, China has issued a blue alert due to heavy rains. The China National Meteorological Center (IMD) requested the local government to take necessary precautions to avoid any disaster.
