Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Asad Umar granted bail by IHC in May 9 case.
After being released from bail, Qureshi and Umar stood out as two significant leaders who chose to remain in the party, in contrast to the majority of their former comrades who renounced their party affiliation.
Notably, after the PTI head was detained on May 9 on suspicion of corruption, enraged protesters and miscreants attacked important government and military facilities.
Following the violent attacks, the PTI was subjected to a harsh crackdown in which several party officials and leaders were detained and charged with fomenting discontent and inciting violence.
Nevertheless, Umar resigned from his position as PTI secretary general after being released from prison last month.
This week, the two leaders had already appeared before a different sessions judge in relation to a complaint filed against them for burning and vandalism of government and private property.
Both commanders were observed fleeing the courthouse after the local court granted them bail in an effort to avoid being apprehended.
Qureshi and Umar went to the IHC in search of bail still worried about being detained.
Today sessions were presided over by Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir of the high court.
The judge decided to grant both former ministers bail in exchange for Rs100,000 surety bonds after hearing the arguments.
In addition, the court ordered the police to deliver case-related records by July 10 at the latest.
It should be remembered that Qureshi and Umar failed to receive relief from the IHC yesterday for their cases involving the May 9 riots since they were unable to attend the hearing, purportedly as a result of the police stopping them from accessing the courthouse.
