Imran Khan, Arrest by police in Lahore for inquiry into the attack.
On Wednesday, the Lahore ATC heard a petition from DIG Investigation Imran Kishwar asking for authorization to arrest the former prime minister Imran Khan Pakistan order to undertake investigations into the May 9 riots case.
Khan is currently incarcerated in the Attock Prison after being found guilty by a jury under the Election Act, according to DIG Imran in his appeal.
On August 25, the Joint Investigation Team looking into the May 9 unrest is scheduled to visit Attock jail to question the PTI chairman about the violent protest that broke out after his detention on May 9, according to sources.
The three-person team will be led by DIG Imran when they question the former prime minister. Khan has twice appeared in front of the JIT to respond to their inquiries.
The Corps Commander House Lahore and other purported attacks on military sites in Lahore were the subject of 35 questions when the PTI leader testified before the JIT on July 14.
