Jenna Ortega’s Latino Heritage will Highlighted in Wednesday Season 2

Wednesday Season 2, Jenna Ortega’s Latina heritage to be emphasized.

The Netflix series Wednesday Season 2, based by the Jenna Ortega’s Latina heritage Addams Family property, aired in November 2022 and was a huge success, gaining two Golden Globe nominations and a second season renewal.

Finally, Addams is played by Ortega, who is well known for her work in horror films. Millar and Gough revealed their intention to explore Wednesday’s Latina heritage in the future season in an interview with IndieWire.

“It’s extremely rare to come across an iconic [Latina] character of this stature.” We work hard to find honest methods to [emphasise that].

What might Wednesday listen to as she grew older? What role would Gomez take? And figuring out how to make it feel like a girl growing up in New Jersey with a Latino parent, and how it would resonate with her as a teen. We’re looking for new ways to explore that this season.”

The Second Season is set to premiere in 2024 despite the fact that there are few details available about it due to anticipated delays brought on by the ongoing Writers Guild of America strike.

However, Ortega became one of the few Latino actors to portray the lead in a significant television series thanks to Wednesday season 1, which propelled her to prominence.

In addition to describing Ortega and Addam’s histories, Season 2 offers the chance for broader representation.

Due to the fact that there were only two black actors that played bullies in the first season, it received criticism for how it handled black characters.
