Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUIF) has announced to aa movement against alleged rigging in general elections 2024.
According to the sources, in the first phase, a meeting of the general councils, councils and candidates of all the provinces has been called, JUI chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman will address the meeting, the first meeting will be held in Islamabad.
JUI leaders say the worst rigging in the February 8 election has put the rigging of 2018 to shame, with entire assemblies in Puri rigged and the people’s mandate made a mockery of.
On the other hand, JUI chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman says that the supremacy of the constitution and the promotion of democracy in the country have been crushed. We were not provided security during the election campaign.
He said that it is our responsibility to protect the constitution, the parliament is the supreme institution of the entire country, we are elected members in the house by the power of people’s vote.
