When completed, Karachi’s IT park will employ 20,000 IT professionals.
According to a representative of the IT ministry, “the IT Park, which will be built near the Karachi Airport for Rs 42 billion, is projected to provide more than 20,000 job possibilities for IT specialists after it is finished.”
He asserted that the Karachi IT Park would serve as a springboard for an inventive future and a bolstered economy. He continued, “Karachi IT Park is the largest IT project of its kind in Pakistan, benefiting not just Karachi residents but also IT professionals and businesses in Sindh and the rest of Pakistan.

According to him, ECNEC approved the creation of the IT Park in Karachi at its meeting on June 4, 2021, for a capital cost of Rs 41, 39 crores (USD 186.658 million), including a loan of Rs 35, 13 crores (USD 158.416 million) from the Korean Exim Bank and a local contribution of Rs 6, 25 crores from PSDP (USD 28.242 million).
Supporting the establishment and growth of knowledge-based businesses was the primary goal of technology parks.
He further added that the advantages of the technology parks were not just for the businesses and tenants of the parks, but also companies outside the parks. The breadth of services provided by the parks was closely related to the functions that they had to complete. He claimed that the advantages of technology parks included a boost to the knowledge-based economy, entrepreneurship, and cutting-edge technologies.
He said that IT Park Karachi was a 106,449 square meter self-contained complex with eleven stories (8 above and three below). About 225 start-ups and small and medium-sized businesses are given office space in The Technology Park in Karachi, along with additional auxiliary amenities like testing labs, classrooms, industry-academia linkage centers, auditoriums, etc. More than 20,000 IT jobs will be created as a result.
