Man move consumer court over non-replacement under-warranty battery.
A resident filed a plea with the customer court in Karachi East against a battery dealer as per details. The plaintiff stated a battery was bought by him for Rs5,800 from a shopkeeper situated in Khudadad Colony on May 15.
The battery stopped working after 3 months so when the shopkeeper was asked to change the battery that is under-warranty he refused to accomplish therefore and asked for double fees by citing fault in the battery cell. The man has pleaded with the court to order the shopkeeper to cover Rs500,000 as damages to him.
Meanwhile, the court has wanted replies from both the plaintiff and shopkeeper by 6 october. Earlier in the day, a resident of Karachi’s area of Gulshan-e-Iqbal filed a petition in the consumer court against a mechanic over perhaps not to be able to run their automobile in fifth gear despite engine repair.
“The mechanic charged Rs44,000 for engine repair, but still the car is unable to run in fifth gear (double top gear)”, the man had stated in his claim. He requested the court for the return of Rs44,000 he paid for motor repair and Rs200,000 extra for tear and use of this vehicle.
