Kashmir Observes Black Day on India’s Independence Day

On Indian Independence Day, Kashmir observed Black Day with complete.

India’s Independence Day, August 15 has been declared as Black Day in Kashmir. Black flags were hoisted in support of him in various areas including Poonch, Handwara and Srinagar.

According to the UN resolutions, Kashmiris are requesting the Modi administration to hold a plebiscite on India’s Independence Day. As a result of the Modi government’s response, a curfew and internet blackout has been imposed across the valley.

It should be noted that India has killed more than two and a half lakh Kashmiris since 1947, more than one lakh children have become orphans in Occupied Kashmir, 23 thousand women have lost their spouses. More than 11,000 women were gang-raped in Occupied Kashmir.

In 2012, 2,700 mass graves were found in Kotura, Bandipora and Baramulla. Despite its latest initiatives, India has failed to suppress the freedom spirit of Kashmiris.

A Hurriyat Conference spokesperson said in a statement recently that India has no moral reason to celebrate its Independence Day in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. In preparations for its Independence Day on August 15, India has put an end to persecution in the occupied territories.
