KMC to launch digital portal for Karachi residents to access services.
Karachi Municipal Commissioner KMC launch, Syed Afzal Zaidi, revealed this while attending a meeting of the organization’s heads of departments and other officers at KMC’s central office. He went on to say that the online portal would be paired with a mobile app and that it would eliminate the need to visit offices for information or complaints.
Zaidi went on to say that the project is being launch with the help of the provincial government.
He also revealed that data relate to utility taxes, as well as any KMC shops or markets, will be accessible via the portal, in addition to the corporation’s sports complexes, membership system, and events that can be held there.
Similarly, the protocol for any organization wishing to use government facilities for commercial purposes is available via the online portal. The site is now linked to 140 local government departments and 70 within the KMC.
Zaidi continued, “Data relating to the land department, charged parking, Kitchi abides, municipal utility taxes, sports and culture, zoos, veterinary, and other KMC departments; lease, transfer, sale deed, NOC for sale and sub-division of land; challans and fees, and land department matters were all made available online.”
