India: Indian film actor Dharmendra passes away in Mumbai.
Legendary Indian film actor Dharmendra passes away this morning at the age of 89 at his residence in Mumbai after a brief illness.
In an Instagram post, film producer and director Karan Johar confirmed Dharmendra’s death. “Dharmendra is the end of an era, he is a great megastar and a true image of a hero in mainstream cinema,” he said.
According to Indian media, Dharmendra passed away a few days before his 90th birthday and his last rites will be performed at the Pawan Hans crematorium.

According to Karan Johar, who praised the actor’s charm, mysterious on-screen persona, and place in Indian cinema, “Apart from being a fantastic actor, Dharmendra was also a beautiful human being who was looked upon with incredible love and respect by everyone in the industry.”
