According to the source, preparations have been completed to fulfill another condition of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
And the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has approved to increase’s the average gas tariff by another 35.13%.
After the approval of the federal government, OGRA will issue the notification.
OGRA has approved an average increase of 35.13% in the tariff of consumers in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Islamabad.
While an average increase of 8.57% in tariff has been approved for the gas consumers of Sindh and Balochistan.
Sui Northern increased its tariff by Rs 435.14 per MMBTU to Rs 1673.82 per MMBTU .
While Sui Southern Gas tariff increased by Rs 115.72 per MMBTU to Rs 1466.40 per MMBTU.
Ogra has sent the decision to increase gas prices to the federal government. Ogra will issue a notification after approval from the government.
