Pak vs Eng: Traffic Plan Issued for Rawalpindi

Rawalpindi Traffic Police announce diversion plan for Pakistan-England

More than 432 employees will carry out their responsibilities to preserve traffic flow during the PAK vs ENG matches, a spokeswoman said. The Rawalpindi Traffic Police developed the following comprehensive plan:

At the arrival and departure of the cricket teams, Murree Road would stay closed on both sides to all types of traffic from Faizabad to Double Road. There will be a traffic diversion from Faizabad to the Expressway arriving from Islamabad.

Sixth Road will be redirected to Saidpur Road for traffic coming from Rawalpindi in the direction of Islamabad. After the teams have moved, Murree Road traffic will continue to flow normally.

Throughout the game, Stadium Road will stay blocked on both sides between 9th Avenue Chowk and Double Road. Traffic approaching Double Road will enter Rawalpindi through IJP Road, Pandora Chungi, Katarina, Carriage Factory, Pirwadhai Mor, and Chak Madad during the practice session and the opening test match.

For the convenience of the public, banners promoting the other routes have been erected on major thoroughfares. The three-match series, which is a part of the World Test Championship, begins in Rawalpindi on December 1 and concludes with the third Test in Karachi on December 13. (December 17-21).
