Pervaiz Elahi: PML-N leaders fled to London by sinking country ship.
Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi said that PML-N leadership fled to London by sinking the country’s fleet, now IMF has also asked to hold elections in the country.
Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, speaking informally to the media after his release on the order of the Lahore High Court, said that whenever the PML-N government has come, they have caused inflation in the country.
A hearing was held today in the Lahore High Court on NAB’s application against the arrest of Pervaiz Elahi in the assets case. In this regard, the NAB officials produced the former chief minister in the court. Justice Amjad Rafiq of Lahore High Court heard the case.
Elahi was imprisoned under the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO) ordinance for 30 days in the middle of July after being ordered to be freed from Lahore’s Camp Jail, where he was being held in connection with a money laundering case.
Later, the Lahore High Court ordered the release of former Punjab Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi and ordered not to arrest him in any case.
The former Chief Minister of Punjab had challenged his arrest by NAB in court and Justice Amjad Rafique had asked to issue a warrant to DG NAB if Pervaiz Elahi was not produced.
