Hammad Azhar, a former federal minister, resigned from his positions of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
After careful consideration, Hammad Azhar has decided to step down from his positions as PTI Punjab President and General Secretary, he has informed the party leadership in a resignation letter.

According to Hammad Azhar, being in the field and having direct contact to the PTI founder were essential for effective leadership in the party at this time in Punjab. He declared that he would work as a bouncer.
It should be mentioned that the PTI failed to win enough seats in the general elections to become the government, and as a result, it was forced to unite with the Sunni Ittehad Council.
Reports of discord between the Sunni Ittehad Council and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leadership have been surfacing for the past few days.
Although Hammad Azhar continued to serve as a federal minister in the PTI administration, he and his family also encountered significant challenges following the fall of Imran Khan’s administration.
