Supreme Court allowed Sanaullah Mastikhel contest general elections.
The Supreme Court overruled the decision of the Lahore High Court Multan Bench and allowed Sanaullah Mastikhel contest the general elections.
The Supreme Court ordered the Election Commission to include the name of Sanaullah Mastikhel in the ballot papers.
Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa asked the Election Commission officials whether the ballot papers have been printed.
The officials of the Election Commission replied that the ballot papers are ready for printing.
During the hearing, the lawyer of the objector said that Sanaullah Mastikhel is an advertiser, the Chief Justice inquired as to what crime Sanaullah Mastikhel had committed.
The Chief Justice inquired whether it is a case of terrorism or kidnapping for ransom. The Chief Justice further remarked that if he is a dangerous man, we will not allow him to contest the election.
On this occasion, Justice Musrat Hilali remarked that Sanaullah Mastikhel has a tire burning case, Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar remarked that Sanaullah Mastikhel has not been released on bail.
It should be noted that Sanaullah Mastikhel is the candidate of PTI from NA 91 Bhakkar and is contesting as an independent after the party did not get the election symbol.
