Shaan Masood Named Pakistan Red Ball Cricket Captain for Two Years

Shan Masood named Cricket captain for 2 years, Test vice announcement.

According to the details, after Babar Azam resigned from the captaincy of the three formats yesterday, Shaan Masood has been appointed as the captain of the Test team. Shaan Masood will lead the team till the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25.

Pakistan team is currently at the top of the ICC World Test Championship table. Pakistan had whitewashed Sri Lanka in the Test series before the World Cup 2023. India is second in the table and Australia is third.

It should be noted that immediately after the end of the World Cup, Pakistan will visit Australia in December where they will play a three-match Test series. The first Test will be played from December 14-18, the second from December 26-30 and the third from January 3-7.

On the other hand, Pakistan’s fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi, who was recently selected as the T20 captain of the national team, has not been revealed yet. It is possible that Shaheen Afridi will lead the T20 World Cup in June 2024.

Talking about the vice-captaincy in the T20 format, if Shadab Khan joins the squad in the series against New Zealand, he will be the vice-captain. Mohammad Rizwan can be made vice-captain in the absence of Shadab Khan.
