Sheikh Rashid, head of AML, says Pakistan has technically defaulted.
Speaking to the media in London, Sheikh Rashid claimed that the shortage of letters of credit (LCs) was strangling industrial activity and that the lack of financial support from the government for importers meant that the nation had officially failed.
For the previous ten months, as per Mr. Rashid, there had been no interaction with the establishment.
He claimed that Imran Khan had a right to call for early elections since they were the only way to get the nation out of its current dilemma.
He added that Imran Khan has decimated the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), an association of 13 political groups, making it impossible for them to reach the electorate.
He asserted that changes to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) laws, which included the addition of “NAB fugitives,” had benefited 385 people.
