Sindh Declares Holidays for Public and Private Schools and Colleges

Shab-e-Barat on March 8, the Sindh govt has Announced public holiday.

The Public Holiday was officially announced by Haider Ali Shah, the chairman of the Sindh Private Schools and Colleges Association.

He further said that because Shab-e-Barat is a fixed-scheduled holiday on the steering committee of the education department’s calendar every year, educational institutions are closed on this day.

He further mentioned that Pakistan Day, a public holiday observed on March 23, has been reinstated by the federal government.

The 15th night of Sha’ban is when Shab-e-Barat is observed. Many Muslim communities have varied interpretations of Shab-e-Barat, but in general, it is seen as a night of kindness, blessings, and forgiveness.

Two official holidays have been declared for the Hindu community in Sindh in honour of Holi as of one day ago by the provincial government.

In accordance with the official announcement, the provincial government designated March 6 and 7 as public holidays for all Hindu employees of all autonomous, semi-autonomous, and governmental organizations that are under the administrative jurisdiction of the Sindh government.
