Sindh Govt. Decide To Start Karachi-Sukkur Bullet Train Project

Sindh govt announces to initiate Karachi-Sukkur bullet train project.

He remarked about the Karachi-Sukkur bullet train project while chairing a meeting in Karachi over the Yellow Line BRT project. The conference was attended by a World Bank group as well as representatives from the Ministry of Transport.

The minister stated that the Sindh government is proposing a Karachi-Sukkur bullet train project and needs World Bank assistance.

He informed the audience that the Sindh government is working relentlessly to modernize Karachi’s transportation system.

The World Bank was collaborating with the government to create the first phase of the Karachi-Hyderabad bullet train project, the minister continued.

In addition, he requested that 300 electric buses be sent to Karachi by the World Bank as part of the People Bus Service program.

Yellow Line undertaking

The chief minister of Sindh, Syed Murad Ali, oversaw a meeting today to assess the designs for the Yellow Line BRT project in Karachi.

The meeting was attended by representatives from the World Bank, the Sindh Department of Mass Transit, and Sindh Transport Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon.

During the meeting, Transport Minister informed the attendees that the Yellow Line BRT is a 21-kilometer project that would run from Dawood Chowrangi to Numasih.

The conceptual proposal is for a 21-kilometer-long Yellow Line BRT project with crossings in Karachi, with 17.6 kilometers at grade and 3.2 kilometers underground, with 28 stops.
