Singer Amjad Parvez Passed Away at the Age of 79

Well-known pakistani singer amjad parvez passed away at the age of 79.

Renowned singer Amjad Parvez passed away at the age of 79 in Lahore. The singer’s funeral prayer will be offered today (February 4) at his residence near Shadman Main Boulevard Mosque after Zohar prayer.

According to sources, Amjad Parvez was suffering from kidney disease for a long time and was undergoing treatment in a private hospital.

Amjad Parvez joined a pop band known as The AayJays in the 1970s, his famous songs include ‘Tera Lotta Shahr Bhambur’ and ‘Jo Bhi Kuch Hai Mohabbat Ka Phal Hai’.

The writer of 8 music-related books, among them “Melody Makers of the Subcontinent,” “Symphony of Reflections,” and “Rainbow of Reflections,” he received the Pride of Performance Award in 2000 while still alive.

Amjad Parvez Early Journey:

Amjad Parvez was an engineer by profession and studied for Ph.D. He was born in Fleming Road Lahore in 1945.

The singer’s father was a chemistry professor at Islamia College, where his maternal grandfather also held the position of principal before the partition of India.

He matriculated from Central Model School in 1960, Intermediate from Government College Lahore and completed his graduation in Mechanical Engineering from UET in 1967, pursued his Ph.D. from University of Birmingham.

Amjad Parvez started his singing journey as a child artiste from Radio Pakistan Lahore station in 1954.

Afterwards, he underwent Singing training from Ustad Salamat Ali and other renowned instructors.
