Snow-Trapped Tourists Rescued in Neelum Valley

12 tourists trapped in Neelum Valley, (AJK), due to heavy snowfall.

After becoming snow-trapped due to severe snowfall, all of the Punjab University students have been exploring the Neelam Valley region of Kel.
In the prone regions, roads have been obstructed, disrupting people’s lives.

All students have securely serviced the guest home.

After being cleansed of snow, some routes were reopened, though others were still suspended due to slippery conditions or continuous snow removal efforts.

Nevertheless, the rescue personnel arrived at the area covered in snow and efficiently retrieved the students.

Snow-Trapped Tourists Rescued in Neelum Valley

Earlier, at the Pir Chinasi resort in Muzaffarabad, Azad Jammu, and Kashmir, a team of about 230 visitors became trapped in deep snow.

The severe weather prohibited the vacationers who had been visiting the well-known elevated resort from departing. Authorities proceeded to take action and initiated a rescue operation to safely remove the tourists from the property.

According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

The current weather pattern is anticipated to last for a few days over the upper regions of the country

The Met Office has anticipated additional snowfall for KP, Punjab, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan over the next few days, while rain-thunderstorm activity is anticipated at multiple locations in Islamabad, upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, and Faisalabad divisions), upper KP (Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat, and Mardan divisions), Gilgit-Baltist.

Throughout this period, significant snowfall is anticipated in the slopes of Malakand, the Hazara divisions, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir.
