SP was martyred, DSP was injured in the terrorist attack in Mardan.
A senior police officer SP was martyred while three others, including DSP, were injured in an attack by terrorist on a police party in Mardan on Tuesday morning.
The martyred police officer has been identified as Superintendent of Police Aizaz Khan, while the injured include Deputy Superintendent of Police Naseem Khan, Constable Mansoor and Saleem.
According to the police, terrorists targeted the police team in Katling area of Zermatt area of Mardan, as a result of which SP Rural Aizaz Khan was martyred on the spot while three others were injured and shifted to Katling hospital.
It should be remembered that even before the general elections in the country, there have been incidents of terrorism in different areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while this morning a police vehicle was attacked.
A heavy police force reached the spot and started a search operation, while the body of the martyred officer and the injured have been shifted to the hospital.
