State Bank of Pakistan has issued an Rs.75 memorial Note

 State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has issued a banknote memorial on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of Pakistan’s independence.

External Relations Department ERD /M&PRD/PR/01/2022-110 29, 2022 SBP issues memorial Banknote to mark 75 years of Pakistan’s Independence September.

Design of the note.


The design of this memorial banknote was unveiled on August 14, 2022, during a ceremony at SBP headquarters, in Karachi.

The banknote that is memorial be available for the general public from SBP BSC offices and Commercial Banks’ branches from today.

This banknote may be used in all transactions throughout Pakistan and is acceptable as legal money under Section 25 of the SBP Act of 1956.

This is the second banknote that is memorial by SBP after the issuance of the first commemorative note issued to mark the fifty years of independence of the country in 1997.

Theme.

The themes and concepts for both the obverse and reverse sides of the banknote were develop by SBP and artists are local.

Tribute.

As a result, the Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah,  Dr.Allama Muhammad Iqbal, Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah, and Sir Syed Ahmed Khan are all represented on the banknote’s obverse.

The banknote was issue as to tribute those who contributed to Pakistan’s creation.

The note is issue to honor those who give awareness about the harm that climate change is happening to the environment.

Highlight.

The images of the national animal Markhor and the tree that is national on the reverse also highlight the danger of extinction of such species and the need to preserve them.

The reverse of the banknote highlights our commitment that is national toward change and its repercussions for Pakistan, which has gained added urgency in light of unprecedented loss caused by the recent torrential rains and flooding in large parts of Pakistan.
