Khairpur – A student dies during a board exam due to load shedding.
According to reports, hundreds of student attended the Government Degree College in the city’s Thiri neighbourhood to take their 11th class board exams.
Mehtab Ali, the dead, passed out as he was writing his paper. He was taken urgently to the hospital. Where the medical staff declared him dead.
The country is experiencing load shedding due to a supply and demand imbalance as the temperature rises.
Ismail Rahoo, the Sindh Minister for University and Board Education, had earlier urged the government to provide continuous power supply during exams due to the sweltering conditions.
The Sindh government has also declared that all educational institutions will be closed from June 1 to July 31, 2023.
