Sumaira Malik quits PML-N after being denied general elections ticket.
Former federal minister and PML-N member Sumaira Malik has made the decision to quits the party after learning she won’t be able to run in the forthcoming general elections.
The seasoned Khushab politician announced her retirement from the vice president of Punjab position as well as from the party.
After weeks of rumors about Sumaira Malik’s discontent within the party—particularly on the recent distribution of election tickets—she made the decision to leave the party. Rumors of her leaving suggested that she was disappointed not to be selected for candidacy.
She notified PML-N President Rana Sanaullah of her resignation, stating that she was primarily disappointed that she had not been able to obtain party seats.
Malik’s resignation gives the issue a fascinating new dimension and creates the possibility of realignments and modifications in the lead-up to the general elections.
