Taylor Swift announced her new album ‘The Tortured Poets Department’.
Following her Grammy win for “Midnights” as best pop vocal album, Taylor Swift revealed the title of her upcoming studio album, “The Tortured Poets Department.”
Swift shared a picture of a handwritten note with the caption, “And so I enter into evidence / My tarnished coat of arms / My muses, acquired like bruises / My talismans and charms / The tick, tick, tick of love bombs / My veins of pitch-black ink / All’s fair in love and poetry,” on Instagram. The post appeared to be the album’s artwork.
“Sincerely, The Chairman of the Tortured Poets Department,” was her signature at the end of the poem or songs.
Swift’s website has a pre-order link that details the new album: There will be an additional song named “The Manuscript” on the LP, CD, and cassette versions of the 16-track album.
A unique 24-page book-bound jacket featuring three handwritten lyrics and never-before-seen images is also included.
Swift’s 2022 album “Midnights,” which is vying for album of the year, earned her six Grammy nominations this year. Miley Cyrus’s “Flowers” was the winner of the Best Pop Solo Performance nomination for her song “Anti-Hero.”
Swift is competing with Ice Spice for the 2017 Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for their song “Karma.”
Swift’s yearlong triumph lap includes not only her record-breaking Eras Tour but also her concert video. Her most recent Grammy victory is just one more.
On February 7, Swift’s tour will return to Japan before continuing on to Melbourne and Sydney. The tour will run the entire year, with Swift returning to the United States in October and November of 2024.
