historical series ‘Kudüs Fatihi Selahaddin Eyyubi,’ teaser released.
They are filming Selahaddin Eyyubi on a massive 200-acre set painstakingly constructed to imitate the old city of Damascus. According to reports, the painstakingly constructed set features accurate replicas of mosques, busy bazaars, opulent palaces, and old dwellings.
The national TV broadcaster of Turkey, TRT 1, along with prominent producers Adnan Siddiqui, Uğur Güneş, and others, released an enticing trailer for the epic depiction of the famed Muslim king and Ayyubid empire founder.
The series will graphically depict the acclaimed commander’s valiant conquest of Jerusalem during the Crusades. It is scheduled to premiere on TRT 1 on November 13.
Previously, Dr. Kashif Ansari, Ahmet Faruk Bakacak, Dr. Junaid Ali Shah, and accomplished Pakistani actors Humayun Saeed and Adnan Siddiqui collaborated to bring this ambitious project to the big screen.
The well-known Turkish actor Uğur Güneş, who made an outstanding debut in TRT’s other well-known historical series, Diriliş: Ertuğrul, where he played Tugtekin Bey, will play the starring role of Sultan Selahaddin Eyyubi.
