The Government announced a Ramadan relief package of 7 billion rupees.
On behalf of the government (Shahzad Pracha), the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet has approved the Ramadan Relief Package 2024, which is estimated to be worth Rs 7.4 billion.
This will only be available through the Benazir Income Support Program.
In the statement, it was said that the issues related to the export of wheat products were reviewed in the meeting, there will be consultation before allowing the export of wheat products.
In the meeting, reduction of duty in import of individual products and commissioning of thermal power plant of 1263 MW was approved under trade policy.
According to the statement, Ogra has sent the decision to increase the price of gas to the federal government.

However, sources claimed that there are just two days remaining until the IMF’s deadline for reviewing the gas price hike is reached.
However, the ECC meeting could not decide on the summary of the increase.
According to sources, the meeting presented a summary related to gas prices, and the decision was made to further consider the summary related to prices.
It’s worth noting that the government has assured the IMF of increasing the gas price by February 15.
